The Bunny Walk

Father Bunny woke up to a fine day. “Lets all go for a walk,” he said to Mother Bunny and their three little bunnies, Billy, Betty, and Bonnie.

Then he hopped away without even a glance behind him. Mother Bunny hurried to catch up. “Come on, bunnies,” she called as she hop, hop, hopped away. Father Bunny took the biggest hops! Mother Bunny could barely keep up with him. The little bunnies had to make twice as many hops to go half as far.

When Father Bunny stopped to rest, he looked around and said, “Where is Bonnie?”

“We thout she was right behind us,” Betty and Billy said.

We must have lost her on the way! Cried Mother Bunny. We must find her!”

The bunnies hopped all the way hom looking for Bonnie. What a surprise they got when they arrived. Bonnie was still asleep where they had left her. Every one had been in such a hurry to cach up with Father Bunnie’s greap big hop that no-one had looked behind. Bonnie had never left at all.
